  7. Pay 12% commission fee when your nanny passes her probation period

Every search is different, so unfortunately we can’t give you an exact estimate. We ask for a lead time of up to 3 months. This gives us time to craft the perfect job listing for your family, and recruit candidates if necessary.

There is a €150 deposit required to start your official search for a part-time nanny. This is a deposit, and will be credited toward the commission fee.

Yes. Our minimum contracts are for 3 hours per week. Any shift must be a minimum of 3 hours.

Yes, it is possible to hire a Lighthouse Nanny on a minijob contract. A minijob is a tax threshold in Germany for employment in which the employee earns less than €603 per month. This means your nanny might work one or two afternoons per week, depending on her hourly rate.

Yes, it is possible to hire a nanny on a midijob contract. A midijob is a tax threshold in Germany for employment in which the employee earns between €603 and €2000 per month. Unlike with a minijob, midijob employers are still obligated to pay social contributions for their employees.

Yes, it is possible to work with a freelance nanny. However, this will depend on what kind of job assignment you are offering, the number of hours involved, and whether or not the candidate your family chooses is a registered freelancer.
